Registering for the SAT

Registering for the SAT is easy -- you can do it either via the internet or by postal mail. You should register well in advance, and keep in mind that there are deadlines for each of the upcominig test dates. Please also view the fees for registering for and taking the SAT.

Where/How: CollegeBoard.com -- You'll need to create a free account.

After registering online, you can:
  • select your test date and location,
  • use your account to access scores and to send score reports to schools,
  • get immediate registration confirmation,
  • have 24-hour access to registration informtion to correct admission tickets.

Notes: Online registeration is not available if you are testing in

  • Cameroon
  • Ghana
  • Kenya
  • Nigeria

Registration by Mail is required if:
  • you want to pay by check or money order
  • you are younger than 13 years old
  • you are registering for the first time for Sunday testing
  • you are requesting that we open a test center nearer your home
  • you are registering with a request for SSD accommodations that has not yet been approved or was approved for a different school
